5 Months Old!

 Ryan is 5 months Old!

Well, in case you've been sitting by your computer waiting for a Ryan update, we apologize for skipping a month. With Mom going back to work, life got a bit crazy. :) Nevertheless, Ryan has kept growing as usual. He went to the doctor for his 4 month checkup and he is still in the 100th percentile in weight and 90th for height.

Ryan had his first trip to the Zoo over President's Day weekend. It was a beautiful day at the Oakland Zoo and we all had a great time.

Ryan sort of became one of the attractions at the zoo with all the attention he was getting. People kept stopping and saying how Ryan looked like the baby from The Hangover, Carlos.
Do you see a resemblance?
We have a roller! Ryan just decided one day to roll from his back to front - doing things the hard way I guess. We hope it's not indicative of his persoanlity :) The very next day, he rolled front to back for Dad. He keeps practicing each day!

Ryan also attended a very special wedding. His Uncle Mikey and Zia Nicole (Italian for "aunt") got married at St. Joseph's church in downtown San Jose. Ryan slept through the entire ceremony and woke at the end to take some pictures. Then it was off to the hotel room where Aunt Julia watched him with the help of Nana and Grandpa. It was a beautiful wedding and I am sure Ryan was happy to be able to say he was there, even though he will not remember being there.

Our baby has found his feet and loves playing with them. This is just a cute picture of him playing on his changing table. It seems to be his favorite place to play with his toes.

Ryan had his first "solid" food. He has been doing a lot of watching people eat and drink so we decided we would have him try some food. We have started of with rice cereal. His first tasting was pretty funny. We think he wore more than he ate.
Here comes the airplane...

It was Ryan's first Easter and the Easter Bunny was very good to him. He brought Ryan some new clothes, books, and toys in his Easter basket. He had Easter brunch with all of his favorite people. Grammy and Grampy hosted Mom, Dad, Nana, Grandpa, Aunt Julia, Uncle Mikey, and Zia. He had his first egg hunt, and although his can't really hunt for them, he did put all the eggs he "found" in his basket himself. After brunch, Dad tested out his new backpack on a short hike in Sunol.

These past 2 months have been crazy but filled with so much fun and change. Next up...Ryan with be 6 month old. Where does the time go?
